My friend and I visited The Breakfast Club for the first time ever this week and I must admit it was wonderful. In fact, I’ve not stopped thinking about that meal since.
There are various Breakfast Clubs dotted around London and we visited the original in Soho. This was actually our second attempt after previously arriving on a Saturday morning, seeing the queue and gracefully bowing out. This time, we both had a weekday off and arrived to find a much more manageable queuing situation. We were probably the 6th group in line and waited maybe half an hour to get one of their highly sought after tables.
The interior is nothing special. It could really do with a little bit of tlc but it feels a bit retro and rustic which I think is the aim? The menu comprises a small but varied selection of sweet and savoury American classics and we decided to go for 1 savoury (Chorizo Hash) and 1 sweet (Berry Pancakes) split between us. It was nothing short of heavenly. The portions are really generous so you’ll be full till teatime and they’re cooked to perfection! Prices are actually more reasonably than expected, around the £10 mark for a main, but that easily covers you for breakfast and lunch so that’s not bad at all!
So yes, The Breakfast Club IS worth the hype! I highly recommend it and I’ll be back as soon as possible!!
